Turkiye
Just Human International Aid Association, centered around the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes, immediately initiated aid efforts following the devastating earthquakes of 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude, which affected 10 provinces in Turkey. Thousands of buildings were destroyed in Kahramanmaraş, Adıyaman, Kilis, Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır, Adana, Osmaniye, Gaziantep, Malatya, and Hatay.
As an organization that has been involved in humanitarian aid efforts both in Turkey and around the world, we swiftly mobilized to provide relief to those impacted by the earthquakes. With the help of our professional teams and volunteers, we carried out extensive aid activities in the affected regions.
Our Relief Efforts:
- We sent 16 trucks of aid materials to the earthquake-affected areas, including blankets, water, baby diapers, hygiene kits, and other essential products.
- Additionally, we distributed 20,000 hot meals, 5,000 food packages, 5,000 blankets, and 3,000 hygiene kits in the affected provinces.
As Just Human International Aid Association, we spent the holy month of Ramadan providing support to those in need, especially in the earthquake zones and across the globe.
'Blessing to Your Ramadan Table' Campaign:
Under our campaign “Blessing to Your Ramadan Table,” we organized iftar programs for more than 6,000 earthquake victims in the provinces most severely affected by the earthquakes—Kahramanmaraş, Adıyaman, Hatay, and Şanlıurfa—on the night of February 6, when the first earthquake struck at 4:17 AM.
Moreover, we organized iftar programs for over 1,000 displaced earthquake victims who lost their homes and are currently staying in dormitories in Konya.
Continuing Our Aid Efforts:
Our relief activities in the earthquake region extended beyond iftar programs. We also initiated efforts for the establishment of container cities to provide shelter to those affected. Throughout Ramadan, we continued with food aid, sending provisions to 2,000 people in Iğdır and Kars.
