Libya
Just Human International Aid Association, the historic flooding disaster that struck Libya in September 2023, caused widespread destruction, particularly in the Derna and surrounding areas. The heavy rainfall and subsequent flooding resulted in the loss of thousands of lives and left tens of thousands of people homeless. In response to this massive tragedy, Just Human International Aid Association acted immediately to extend a helping hand to those affected in Libya.
In the aftermath of the flood disaster, we launched urgent relief efforts. These included:
- Food Assistance: We sent thousands of food packages to the affected areas to address the immediate nutritional needs of the survivors.
- Clean Water and Hygiene Kits: After the floodwaters contaminated local water sources, we worked tirelessly to provide clean drinking water and hygiene supplies to prevent the spread of diseases.
- Temporary Shelter: To support families who lost their homes, we distributed tents and other shelter materials, providing temporary housing solutions.
- Search and Rescue Operations: In coordination with local teams, we contributed to search and rescue operations to locate missing persons and assist those trapped by the floodwaters.
Throughout this process, we collaborated closely with local authorities, other humanitarian organizations, and volunteer teams, ensuring that our aid efforts were delivered quickly and efficiently.
