Damage Assessment Conducted for the Tent School in Gaza Affected by Strong Winds and Rain

The ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to negatively affect educational spaces. Due to the strong winds and heavy rainfall experienced in recent days, a tent school where children and young people receive education has suffered significant damage.

As a result of adverse weather conditions, the tent’s cover was lifted by the wind, and tears occurred in several sections. With the rainfall, the educational area became largely unusable, creating an urgent need for intervention for this space, which has the capacity to educate approximately 250 people at the same time. Our teams have completed damage assessment activities in the area.

Following the inspections, the necessary planning has been initiated to repair and reinforce the tent school. It is aimed to begin work as soon as possible to replace damaged covers, repair torn sections, and strengthen the structure against wind and rain. The goal is to ensure that educational activities can continue without interruption.
